We have a carpark at the rear of the surgery that has seven car spots (including one disabled spot). Entry is via Chapman St. There is additional parking in the surrounding streets (including 2hr-limit parking along Chapman St in front of the surgery).
FEES and PAYMENT OPTIONS
We are a private billing practice and accept cash, cheques, Visa/MasterCard, and EFTPOS. Aged pensioners, DVA Gold Card holders, and children under 16 are bulk billed. Health Care Card holders are charged a reduced fee. Our current fees are:

There are additional fees for other procedures performed and our reception staff can advise you of these costs. Most procedures are claimable through Medicare.
When making an appointment with any other provider, including specialists to whom you have been referred, don’t forget to ask about any out-of-pocket expenses.
If either we, or Medicare, hold your bank details, we can lodge your claim automatically and the rebate will be deposited into your bank account within 48 hours. Alternatively, claims can be made in person at a Medicare office or online via the myGov website or the Express Plus Medicare smartphone app.
Our doctors endeavour to keep waiting times to a minimum, but emergencies and other situations can cause delays. We suggest phoning us ahead of time to find out how your doctor is running, and our receptionists can give you an estimate of how long the waiting time will be.
There is wheelchair access via the front door. The surgery has a wheelchair available and our staff are happy to help patients who require assistance.
Home visits are available for regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery and who live within a 5km radius of the surgery. Please request home visits before 10:00am.
If you need assistance communicating with your doctor, please advise reception when making your appointment. An interpreter can be organised through the surgery with prior notice. Other assistance can be sought.
We offer patients SMS reminders for upcoming appointments. Please advise reception staff if you would like to receive these reminders. For routine procedures (immunisations, Pap smears, skin checks, etc.), we send out reminder letters in the post, and via SMS when you have given permission for us to do so. Please see our desk staff if you would like to authorise this option.
ACCESSING YOUR HEALTH RECORDS (HELD AT GYMEA MEDICAL PRACTICE)
If you wish to have a copy of your record, for any reason, please ask reception for a “Request to access Medical Records” form. This will need to be completed and signed by all patients over the age of 16 years (parents/guardians are able to sign on behalf of children under 16). This signed form will then be given to your doctor, who may require you to make an appointment to discuss your request. There may be a fee for the consultation which will not be claimable through Medicare.

We are always striving to improve the standard of professional care to our patients. You can help us by telling us any suggestions you have that could enhance the quality of the services we provide. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your care within this practice, please feel free to approach any of our doctors, or the practice manager. We also have a feedback box located at the reception desk.
